This Thursday (22) brings Europa League and Conference League action.
And two moments in particular caught the eye during the league-phase matches in the two competitions.
Check out what happened below.
Forgot there's VAR, keeper?
France's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper, Maignan left his Milan side a man down 28 minutes into their Europa League clash with Bournemouth.
As Justin Kluivert took a corner, he struck Tyler Adams in the face, probably while trying to push the American away.
VAR reviewed the incident, and the Rossoneri goalkeeper was shown a red card on English soil.
Kluivert had already put Bournemouth ahead from the penalty spot (7').
And things got worse for Milan when Marcus Tavernier also scored a penalty (32').
🔥 He's FLYING!
German striker Paris Brunner has been the standout player for Filipe Luís's Monaco in 2026/2027.
He reached ten goals in 12 games this season after brushing aside Freiburg's defending in their Conference League clash.
Check out this masterpiece from the 20-year-old at the Stade Louis II:
A goal that has Monaco on course for victory.
A product of Dortmund's academy, Brunner made just seven appearances (without scoring) for the principality club last season.
And he started 26/27 looking like "a different player".
He has represented Germany at every youth level — winning the Under-17 European Championship and World Cup in 2023 — and is still seeking his first senior call-up.
He is also on the Democratic Republic of the Congo's radar thanks to his family roots.
Is Jürgen Klopp keeping an eye on him?
