DramaBox is a mobile streaming app that offers short dramas across genres such as romance, revenge, family conflict and secret relationships. The app is free to download, but access to some episodes requires coins or a paid membership.
The platform also offers free episodes, reward coins and membership benefits. However, its pricing structure means the cost of watching depends on the option a viewer chooses and how frequently they use the service.
DramaBox Subscription Prices in Nigeria
DramaBox offers weekly and annual memberships, with different prices displayed for weekly subscriptions.
One weekly offer costs ₦6,810 for the first three weeks before increasing to ₦10,000 per week. Another starts at ₦8,110 per week for three weeks, followed by a regular charge of ₦9,740.
The app also offers an annual membership for ₦83,500, advertised as approximately ₦1,602 per week.
At the regular weekly rates, a year of subscription payments would cost ₦520,000 at ₦10,000 per week or ₦506,480 at ₦9,740 per week. The annual plan costs significantly less over the same period, although it requires an upfront payment rather than weekly billing.

The introductory offers also come with a price increase after three weeks. The first costs ₦20,430 over the introductory period, while the second costs ₦24,330.
What does a DramaBox membership include?
DramaBox advertises unlimited viewing of more than 16,000 series, with over 100 new dramas each week. Membership benefits include downloads, daily member points, members-only dramas, video quality up to 1080p and an ad-free viewing experience.
Members can also access exclusive themes, gift dramas to friends up to three times a week and gift a membership once a week.
The subscription renews automatically. According to the app’s payment terms, Google Play subscribers are charged again within 24 hours before their current subscription period ends. Cancellation must be completed through Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period.
For viewers considering the discounted weekly plans, the regular renewal price is an important part of the overall cost.
DramaBox Coins: Prices and Episode Unlocks
Viewers who do not want a membership can purchase coins to unlock eligible paid episodes. DramaBox offers four coin packages in Nigeria, with bonus coins included in each purchase.
| Payment option | Price | Coins or billing details |
| Coin package 1 | ₦720 | 68 coins, including 18 bonus coins |
| Coin package 2 | ₦2,470 | 550 coins, including 50 bonus coins |
| Coin package 3 | ₦4,960 | 1,150 coins, including 150 bonus coins |
| Coin package 4 | ₦9,920 | 3,000 coins, including 1,000 bonus coins |
The largest coin package offers the lowest cost per coin, at approximately ₦3.31. The smaller packages cost about ₦10.59, ₦4.49 and ₦4.31 per coin, respectively.

However, the total cost of watching a series depends on the number of coins required to unlock its episodes. DramaBox does not provide a single fixed price for watching every series, and the amount required can vary by content.
Membership-only dramas also remain restricted to subscribers, meaning a coin balance does not necessarily provide access to the entire catalogue.
Free Coins, Rewards and Member Points
DramaBox offers a rewards system that allows users to earn coins through daily check-ins, advertisements, viewing activity, referrals and social media tasks.
Its seven-day check-in programme offers a total of 165 coins, starting at 10 coins on the first day and reaching 50 coins on the seventh.
Other rewards include 30 coins for watching an advertisement, 60 coins for signing in with an account and 60 coins for enabling push notifications. Joining the DramaBox Telegram channel earns 30 coins, while following the platform on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok or Instagram offers 20 coins for each activity.
The app also advertises 30 coins for sharing with friends, 10 coins for watching for five minutes and 20 coins for watching for 15 minutes. Referral rewards can reach 500 coins daily, while additional tasks advertise potential rewards of up to 9,999 coins.
These rewards are subject to the conditions attached to each activity.
DramaBox also operates a separate Member Points system for paying subscribers. The app lists a one-day membership extension for 500 points and a five-day extension for 1,000 points. Member points can be redeemed for eligible membership rewards, and the app states that they refresh daily at 6:00 a.m. local time.
Unlike reward coins, member points are available only to paid members. The two systems therefore serve different purposes: coins can unlock eligible paid episodes, while member points provide access to selected membership benefits.
Is DramaBox Worth Paying For?
DramaBox’s pricing options appeal to different types of viewers. Occasional users may prefer buying coins to unlock selected episodes, while regular viewers may find greater value in a membership that includes unlimited viewing, downloads and exclusive content.
DramaBox offers several ways to access its content, but the most suitable option depends on viewing habits, the cost of paid episodes and the value of the membership benefits.
Ultimately, the platform’s value depends on whether its content and features justify the amount a viewer spends.
