Sindh has become the first province in Pakistan to connect all its educational boards with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) through a secure digital system. The agreement aims to prevent fake degrees, curb proxy examinations and improve the verification of academic records.
The agreement was signed between the Sindh government and NADRA in the presence of Sindh Minister for Universities Ismail Rahoo, NADRA’s director general and chairmen of educational boards. Rahoo said the integration would strengthen transparency in examinations and help prevent candidates from appearing in tests on behalf of other students.
Under the agreement, students will also be able to access their verified educational degrees through the Pak ID application, making academic credentials easier to obtain and verify digitally. The initiative is expected to support the digitization of academic records across the province.
NADRA’s director general said the authority would provide the integration facility to all educational boards free of charge.
