The international party concept debuted at Motiv in Bugolobi, bringing music, coordinated fashion and premium drinks to Kampala as organisers seek to establish the experience in Uganda’s nightlife scene.
Kampala’s nightlife scene gained a new party concept on Saturday, October 10, as Aprtment Life made its Ugandan debut at Motiv in Bugolobi, bringing together music, fashion and premium drinks in an evening organised by Ganda Vibes.
The concept, which has featured in cities including Paris, Cape Town, Nairobi and London, made its first appearance in Uganda with a gathering built around a coordinated dress code, DJ performances and a curated social experience.
Guests arrived in shades of sand, oat, brown and beige, creating a consistent visual theme that complemented the venue’s chandelier decorations and distinctive styling.
Music anchored the evening, with DJ Vanns opening the performances before Parismatiq took over the decks. The sets featured a mix of danceable tracks and seamless transitions that kept revellers on the dance floor.
As the night progressed, guests sang along to familiar songs, danced and interacted, giving the event the atmosphere of a social gathering centred on music and shared experiences.
Don Julio tequila and Johnnie Walker whisky featured in the evening’s drinks offering, placing the brands within an experience that combined entertainment, fashion and socialising.
Judie Nandekya, Senior Brand Manager for Tequila and Rum East Africa, said the partnership provided an opportunity for Don Julio to connect with consumers through music and cultural experiences.
“At Don Julio, we are always looking for new ways to connect with consumers through music, culture and experiences that bring people together. Aprtment Life has allowed us to be part of something fresh in Kampala, and seeing the crowd embrace the music, the atmosphere and the experience made the night truly special,” she said.
The Kampala debut adds another international-inspired event to the city’s nightlife calendar, where organisers increasingly combine music, fashion and brand partnerships to create distinctive social experiences.
For Ganda Vibes, introducing Aprtment Life to Uganda provides an opportunity to establish the concept among local audiences while connecting Kampala’s nightlife scene to a format already experienced in other cities.
The event’s reception could help determine whether the concept becomes a recurring fixture on Kampala’s entertainment calendar.
