Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Moyeen Khan was admitted to hospital after experiencing severe chest pain last night (21 October).
He was taken to the coronary care unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital in Dhaka's Bashundhara Residential Area, according to a post on the BNP's official Facebook page.
BNP standing committee member and Social Welfare Minister Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain visited Abdul Moyeen Khan at the hospital today (22 October).
During the visit, Zahid spoke to the doctors responsible for his treatment and enquired about the minister's overall health.
The BNP has requested the public to pray for his speedy recovery.
