Bank of Georgia has received major accolades at the 2026 World’s Best Digital Banks and AI in Finance Awards, presented by international financial publication Global Finance. The Bank was named the World’s Best AI Bank and the World’s Best Consumer Digital Bank.
The Bank also received global awards for Best Fintech AI (Consumer), Best in Payments — (Corporate/Institutional), and Best AI Application for Financial Inclusion and Underserved Communities (Consumer).
As part of Global Finance’s 27th annual World’s Best Digital Bank Awards programme, Bank of Georgia was also recognised as a global and regional winner and received awards for Best Online Product Offerings and Best in Precision Credit & Lending.
In total, the Bank received 11 global and regional awards in the second round of Global Finance’s 2026 awards.
The winners were selected following evaluations by a panel of experts, with final selections made by Global Finance’s editorial team. Digital banks were assessed based on the strength of their strategies for attracting and serving online customers, success in driving the adoption of digital services, growth in online customer bases, breadth of products offered, tangible benefits delivered by digital initiatives, and website design and functionality. The AI awards recognise outstanding applications of artificial intelligence in the financial sector.
‘When it comes to artificial intelligence, what matters most to us is its practical value — how it helps us better understand customer needs, personalise services, and create more efficient processes. Being recognised by Global Finance as the World’s Best AI Bank gives us additional motivation to continue using AI responsibly to improve the services we provide to both individual customers and businesses. I would like to thank every member of our team whose work made these awards possible,’ said Mikheil Nadareishvili, Head of Data Analytics at Bank of Georgia.
‘For us, developing digital banking means much more than introducing new technologies. Our main goal is to offer customers products and solutions tailored to their needs that deliver real value in their everyday lives. This recognition from Global Finance is an important acknowledgment of our customer-centric approach. We will continue developing our digital products to make banking services even more accessible, flexible, and personalised,’ said Giorgi Vakhtangishvili, Director of Digital Banking at Bank of Georgia.
Founded in 1987, Global Finance reaches more than 50,000 readers across 193 countries. The publication regularly recognises outstanding banks and other financial service providers. Its awards are widely regarded as a mark of credibility and high standards within the global financial community.
