Global logistics provider DSV has opened a new $90 million, 853,000-square-foot logistics facility in Laredo, Texas, expanding its capacity to handle freight moving between the U.S. and Mexico.
The facility consolidates warehousing, transportation, customs brokerage, inventory management and distribution services under one roof, the company announced Wednesday.
The investment is part of DSV’s broader strategy to strengthen its North American cross-border logistics network, which also includes a recently opened office in McAllen, Texas.
“Our Laredo facility is a milestone in DSV’s strategy to lead with innovation and scale,” Josh Summers, CEO of Contract Logistics, North America, said in a news release. “We’re committed to helping our customers grow by providing smarter, more agile logistics solutions.”
The new multi-client complex is located along Interstate 35 in Laredo, one of the nation’s busiest gateways for commercial trade with Mexico.
According to FreightWaves SONAR, shippers currently hold solid negotiating leverage with carriers in Laredo. As of Oct. 21, the Outbound Tender Rejection Index (STRI) has dropped from 8.15% a month ago to 5.10%

DSV broke ground on the new project in Laredo in July 2025 at a 49-acre site within Majestic Realty’s Port Grande Logistics Park, a 2,000-acre industrial development.
The facility supports a range of logistics operations, including cross-docking, e-commerce fulfillment, inventory management, distribution and cross-border transportation.
It also offers bonded warehousing and Foreign-Trade Zone storage options, along with northbound U.S. customs services and on-site Mexican customs processing.
Those capabilities are designed to help shippers reduce delays, streamline customs clearance and improve freight visibility when moving goods between the two countries.
The facilities in Laredo and McAllen complement DSV’s existing border operations in Brownsville, El Paso and Los Indios, Texas, as well as San Diego, California.
The Laredo operation is part of DSV’s global logistics network, which employs approximately 150,000 people in more than 90 countries.
Why it matters: DSV’s investments in Laredo and McAllen, Texas, adds integrated freight handling and customs capabilities at one of North America’s busiest trade gateways.
