Let’s face it: Cynthia Erivo looks good in everything. Whether wearing a dramatic fringe-trimmed black-and-white Chanel Resort 2027 look for Toronto Film Festival or suiting up in preppy 2010 Ralph Lauren for Wimbledon or slipping into powerful thigh-high Christian Louboutin velour boots for Ariana Grande’s Eternal Sunshine tour, she can truly do it all. She can even, we’ve learned, pull off a full-body coverage of green makeup. But last night, she proved that yellow might just be her color.
In London for the BFI London Film Festival, the Wicked actor attended the premiere of her forthcoming legal drama, Prima Facie, in a custom Prada gown that lit up the red carpet with a golden glow. Designed with an extra-long skirt that pooled at her feet, it featured a square neckline and slinky slip-dress shape, striking the perfect balance of elegance and sultriness.

At the top, oversize black bows acted as straps, holding the fabric up while adding a pop of contrast to the otherwise simple piece. The two straps met just below the nape of the neck, where they connected with yet another bow. This one supported a striking architectural open-back design that highlighted Erivo’s tattoos.
Stylist James Bolden added sparkling diamonds from fine-jewelry label Marli, and the Academy Award-nominee’s trusty manicurist, Shea Osei, painted her nails with intricate wave patterns in soft shades of pink and green.
