F1 driver by day, musician by… Thursday evening? Liam Lawson will make his debut in Red Bull's regular Garage Sessions music and culture event ahead of the United States Grand Prix at Austin, while launching his very own custom Taylor Guitar LL30 GS Mini Special Edition.
The guitar features a pink to white ombre design, and his racing number 30 in the centre.
Liam has loved music since his childhood, as his Dad encouraged him and his brother to play from the age of six. Not quite the career path Liam ended up taking, though.
The event kicks off on Thursday at Inn Cahoots on Austin’s East 6th Street, with the Esses Bazaar from 3pm, featuring live music, food, western wear, glam stations, tattoos and a chance to get up close and grab a photo with the team’s show car.
Garage Sessions follows at 7pm, where Liam will perform live next to his former childhood bandmates, including his brother and two close friends!
The wider line up features a mix of emerging talent and established songwriters like Jonathan Capeci, Scoot Teasley, Jess Farren, Alison Nichols, and Drake Milligan.

Liam said: “I feel very proud to be launching my partnership with Taylor Guitars at Garage Sessions. Playing the guitar has been a big part of my life since I was young, as my Dad played in a band throughout my childhood. He encouraged my brother and I to play since we were six years old, so it feels like a full circle moment to be launching a custom LL30 GS Mini SE while performing with my brother and two friends who I grew up playing with.
"Music is a big part of my life, and I use it to clear my head during the season, so I'm really excited to perform at Garage Sessions where we can connect with fans outside of the track. I’m look ing forward to meeting everyone there.”
With Garage Sessions bringing together racing, music, and community, Racing Bulls is giving fans another reason to get excited about Austin, and giving Lawson a chance to show off a skill that doesn’t involve a steering wheel.
