By Zoila Palma: The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) worked over the weekend to help prevent coastal erosion along Placencia Road in the Stann Creek District.
The ministry’s Stann Creek team placed boulders and hardcore along the roadway to reduce erosion and protect the coastline.
MIDH noted that climate change continues to affect communities and said the works form part of ongoing efforts to mitigate its impacts and protect vulnerable areas.
