Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons criticized Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels over a costly error in Sunday’s 27-27 overtime tie with the New York Giants, warning that the mistake could put head coach Dan Quinn’s job at risk.
On the latest episode of The Edge with Micah Parsons, the Packers star called out Daniels for his clock management during Washington’s final offensive drive.
“Jayden Daniels probably cost my man Dan Quinn his job, to be honest with you. To be honest with you. And, like, I’m a big Jayden Daniels fan. But the reality is, he probably cost a lot of people their jobs this past weekend,” commented the Packers edge rusher.
Washington reached the Giants’ 24-yard line with just 12 seconds left in the 10-minute overtime period. With no timeouts remaining for either side, the Commanders still had a chance to stop the clock and set up a field goal attempt that could have secured the win.

Daniels tried to scramble out of the pocket but ended up taking a sack, and by the time he stood up, the clock had run out. Washington lost its chance to attempt a potential game-winning field goal, prompting Parsons to question the quarterback’s judgment despite his experience in pressure-packed moments.
“Respectfully, we get coached so much on these situations that, like, I’m a defensive player, and this shit’s programmed to me. I know what to do in those situations. There’s no way I’m taking a sack with 14 seconds left and no timeouts.”

The Commanders have fallen to a 1-3-1 record and must quickly regroup before facing San Francisco in Week 6. The 49ers will arrive unbeaten at 5-0, setting up another challenging test for Washington.
“Mind you, it’d be different if Jayden Daniels was a rookie. This is your third year. This your third year. You’ve been to the NFC Championship game. You’ve been in big moments before. And to me, even after a sack, you’re casually getting up.”
