The Las Vegas Raiders fought hard against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. The Raiders had multiple chances to win this game, and even had a bit of a comeback in the second half while down 10. Unfortunately for Kirk Cousins and his teammates, it wasn’t enough.
The Bills won a thriller over the Raiders by the score of 33-30. Cousins played quite well, throwing for 313 yards and two touchdowns. However, he did throw an interception in this contest. And with the run game struggling as it did, Cousins had to throw the ball 41 times in this loss.
After the game, Cousins spoke about the contest, making quite the admission to the media. “Difficult loss. Everyone battled, played hard. Just didn’t make enough plays… One of these games where it’s hard to sleep afterwards,” he said, via Vegas Sports Today.

It’s a crushing defeat for the Raiders, who have witnessed their season flip on its head. Vegas began the year with three straight wins over the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, and New Orleans Saints. However, they have now lost three straight. In addition to this Bills loss, they have also dropped games against the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.
There is still a good amount of football to be played. There is time for Vegas to figure something out and get back on track. In saying this, it’s clear this team has returned to Earth after a hot start to the 2026 campaign.
The Raiders have a chance to get back in the win column on October 25 when they take on the Los Angeles Rams.
