The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC) has given reasons why the team embarked on visitations to palaces across the country.
In the recent times, the APC-PCC paid courtesy visit on some prominent traditional rulers both in the North and South.
Earlier in the week, the team visited
His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gwandu; His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Daura, and His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zaria.
Speaking with newsmen after the inaugural meeting of the PCC Directorates held at the Presidential campaign Office in Abuja, Director General of the PCC, Senator Abdulaziz Yari said he led the team to on visitations to traditional rulers to receive prayers and guidance.
“We are still on with traditional rulers. As I said, we are visiting the royal fathers because we just seek for their blessing. We need their prayers. And being the authority closest to the masses of the country, we need to go and explain to them where we are and where we want to go.
“So the next is Kaduna state, 24th of October, 2026. And then from there, the journey continues until 16th of January, 2027. At the end, by God’s grace, you know the result.”
Speaking on the purpose of the meeting, Senator Yari said the PCC directorates were directed to come up with their work plan and how best they are going to carry out this responsibility.
“This meeting is a short one. What we did, we directed the directorates to go and work to come up with their work plan and how best they are going to carry out this responsibility.
“We reminded them that we are all here on trust. Each and every person who sits down under this roof is a trustee of the president. The president trusted us and he gave us this responsibility. We must carry it out well and very, very well.”
