Ruto, who is touring the North Rift region to inspect development projects and engage residents, was addressing locals in Konyao, Kacheliba Constituency, when the incident occurred.
Loria had taken the microphone, introduced herself and declared her ambition to vie for the MCA seat in the 2027 General Election when Osoro allegedly attempted to pull her down from the raised platform where she was addressing the crowd.
“Keep quiet. Osoro, Osoro, don’t touch me, please. Don’t touch me, please. I am talking to the president. Keep quiet,” the MCA said in a raised voice.
She proceeded to drum up support for Ruto’s re-election, citing the reduced cost of fertiliser and the establishment of the Social Health Authority (SHA) among the achievements of his administration.
However, tensions flared again when Osoro allegedly attempted to interrupt her.
“Osoro, don’t disturb me. What’s up with you? Let me speak. Do not touch me,” Loria wailed as she insisted on addressing the president.
Osoro was among the leaders accompanying Ruto during his development tour of the region.

What did Ruto promise West Pokot residents?
Addressing residents, Ruto said his administration is committed to transforming arid and semi-arid areas such as West Pokot through investments in water infrastructure.
He said the government has planned to construct dams to support irrigation, domestic water supply and livestock farming, which are essential to livelihoods in the region.
The president also announced significant investments to expand electricity access in the area, saying the government is addressing longstanding gaps in power connectivity.
“To address longstanding failure to expand access to electricity in Kacheliba Constituency, West Pokot County, we are investing KSh 1 billion in last mile connectivity, the largest allocation to a single constituency in Kenya,” Ruto said.
Across West Pokot County, the government is investing KSh 2.3 billion to connect 10,000 homes to electricity, expanding access to power for households and businesses.
Ruto also launched the KSh 1.84 billion upgrading of the Konyao-Kiwawa section of the longer Lodwar-Lorugum-Lorengippi-Loya Road, a project expected to improve transport and connectivity in the region.
