Another week of the fall high school sports season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week, Bristol-Plymouth soccer secured a share of a second straight Mayflower Large title while a Dighton-Rehoboth soccer player scored back-to-back hat tricks and Taunton soccer’s goalkeeper kept back-to-back clean sheets. A Dighton-Rehoboth cross country runner was the top finisher in a South Coast Conference tri-meet while Taunton volleyball scored a pair of Hockomock League sweeps, Bridgewater-Raynham volleyball earned a pair of hard fought non-league wins and Dighton-Rehoboth volleyball kept itself in contention for a tournament slot.
The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Girls Athlete of the Week for Oct. 5-11 is Dighton-Rehoboth soccer's Cassidy Hasenfratz, receiving 53.4% of the vote. Dighton-Rehoboth volleyball's Esther Angel Hayes came in second with 43.6% while Bristol Aggie cross country's Taylor Nascimento received 1.3% to finish third.
