Former State Minister Ashok Abeysinghe has resigned as the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) chief organiser for the Kurunegala electorate and from all other positions he held in the party.
In a letter addressed to SJB General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Abeysinghe confirmed his resignation from the posts of deputy general secretary, president of the Samagi Sevaka Sangamaya, trade union coordinating secretary to the Opposition Leader and member of the party’s executive committee.
Abeysinghe said he was pleased to have been involved with the party since its inception and wished its members strength in their efforts to advance the party’s work and lead it to victory. (Newswire)
