Time is running out to get the best deals on half-term family breaks where families ‘love every minute’ and there are a few great bargains to be had
Half-term is just a couple of weeks away for most parents so time is running out to grab a last-minute family holiday bargain. Fortunately, there are half-term holiday options that will not break the bank and are suitable for families whatever their budget.
Parkdean Resorts is offering October half-term breaks from just £100 for a two-night stay, long enough to unwind. There are 65 destinations to choose from, ranging from Devon and Cornwall in the South West, the Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Yorkshire coasts in the east, Wales in the West and Scotland in the north.
There are countless dog-friendly options and caravan holidays from £99. Lodge holidays with hot tubs start from just £199.
Families can find out more here because, given what’s on offer, two nights might not be enough, there is limited availability and the clock is ticking.
Half-term coincides with Halloween too so there are plenty of spooky activities for kids and adults alike, including fancy dress evenings, Creepy Disco, Ghost Walks, messy play, Halloween Milkshake! Mornings, pumpkin carving and lots more fun besides.
Parkdean Resorts claims a 4.3-star TripAdvisor rating and has picked up countless great reviews. One visitor who booked a family stay in the South West said: “Just got home from an amazing holiday - everywhere was clean and staff were so welcoming, special mention to Zoe who ran an archery session for my family, she was so patient and did some amazing games, will definitely be coming back again!”

Another family “loved every minute”, saying: “The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well kept. We paid for the all exclusive package for the dining experience and we weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were more than enough.”
Of course, not all holidaymakers left five-star reviews, with a few citing occasional concerns about the location and condition of lodges and caravans.
That said, the resorts have had thousands of top ratings from families up and down the country, one parent, who went to the Lincolnshire coast, said: “We had a fantastic time at Sunnydale Holiday Park! Our children absolutely loved every moment, both on and off the park. The swimming pool, play area, and evening entertainment were big hits with the whole family.”
Alternatively, Haven also has a number of holiday deals at its parks with caravans, lodges and boutique glamping options as well. Haven says that it has deals for families of “all shapes and sizes” and also has dog-friendly options. Find out more here.
