The eighth day of the 61st Myanma Gems Emporium 2026 continued at the Maniradana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, attracting large numbers of local and foreign gem merchants.
Since the morning, local gem merchants have inspected jade lots displayed under Group C to support and promote MSME entrepreneurs.
At the event, officials examined price offers for jade lots numbered 1101 to 1605 under Groups A and B and announced the sale of 412 lots.
In the afternoon, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Hsan Oo, patron of the Central Committee for the Myanma Gems Emporium, inspected jade lots displayed in designated areas of Maniradana Jade Hall, local merchants submitting tender forms for Group C jade lots and the announcement of successful tender results. He also gave necessary instructions to officials.
On the ninth day, Group C jade lots numbered 1606 to 2355 will be offered through an open tender system, and the results will be announced. The 61st Myanma Gems Emporium 2026 will continue until 17 October.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation is working to ensure the successful holding of Myanma Gems Emporiums for the benefit of the State and the people. It is also systematically managing natural resources to ensure the long-term sustainability of precious gemstone resources and preserve the natural beauty of Myanmar’s land and waters. — MNA/KZL
