No unicorns emerged in the quarter, whilst acquisitions more than doubled.
Singapore’s tech sector recorded 14 acquisitions and one initial public offering (IPO) in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, but no unicorns emerged, according to a Tracxn report.
Acquisitions more than doubled from six in the second quarter, whilst IPOs were flat at one. In Q3 2025, there were eight acquisitions and three IPOs.
By stage, late-stage funding took 70.5% of Q3 funding, early-stage at 28.8%, and seed-stage at 0.7%.
Kling AI led the quarter’s funding rounds with $2.8b, about half of the $5.5b total. It was followed by Ant International at $1.2b, Sharpa at $670m, CRYPTO at $400m, and Acrab AI at $130m.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
