RJ Mitte, the actor who played Walter White Jr in the AMC drama Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 34, his representatives confirmed on Monday.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate disability rights advocate RJ Mitte,” the representatives said in a statement provided to Variety and Deadline.
The statement did not give a cause of death.

Mitte appeared in 56 episodes of the acclaimed series. Like his on-screen character, he lived with cerebral palsy, and the shared condition became central to how he approached his career.
Away from the screen, he campaigned for the fair representation of disabled people in entertainment. He was an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and president of the Mitte Foundation, among other philanthropic roles.
Speaking to the Guardian in 2015 about being a disabled actor who plays disabled characters, Mitte said: “You accept the risks and you accept these will be the parts you play. But it’s all about how you play those parts – you have to show the inner strength that people have.”
