Two young boys have been left seriously injured after they were run off the road and then attacked by a group of people riding in a ute as they rode their e-scooters through Melbourne’s east.
Stirling Jakubowski and Courtney Nightingale, both 11, were riding through Ferntree Gully when a white ute with at least three people inside began following them.

According to the boys, the occupants of the ute began spraying them with silly string as they passed.
The vehicle then doubled back towards them multiple times and continued to swerve at them until they lost control of their scooters and crashed.

Speaking to 7News, Courtney’s father Ben said his son, who has suffered numerous injuries, is “really battling”.
“He’s got skin grafts all over him, broken collarbone, broken finger. Most likely going to need plastic surgery,” he said.
Courtney’s mother Ange said she had been warned by a friend before arriving at the scene there was “a lot of blood”.
“It was quite horrific,” she said.
Victoria Police has been contacted for comment.
