The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has praised Nigerian musicians both at home and in the diaspora for turning music into a tool of hope ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its media office, the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) stated that music has become the heartbeat of national renewal, amplifying the political ambitions of millions.
POMR highlighted three breakout voices driving the movement: KASI, an Anambra-born sensation whose anthem Peter Obi or Nothing has emerged as a rallying cry; Tijjani Gandu, whose Hausa hit Obi-Kwankwaso Clear is resonating across the North; and Mr DapBoy, whose soulful track Lokaci expresses unwavering support for Peter Obi’s 2027 presidential ambition.
Cultural Heritage and National Discourse
Idris Zekeri Jnr, the POMR spokesman, noted that these artists are shaping national discourse and equipping young Nigerians with a bold language to demand systemic transformation.
“Your talent is valuable, your creativity merits recognition, and your voices form an essential part of the nation’s cultural heritage,” Idris Zekeri Jnr said in the statement.
Celebrating Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity, spanning Igbo highlife, Hausa melodies, Yoruba rhythms, and Pidgin, POMR encouraged artists to keep using their craft to foster peace, unity, and constructive dialogue. World Singing Day is observed annually on the third Saturday of October.
