The Baseus Spacemate RD1 Plus is a new 14-in-1 dock that comes with a built-in display and an integrated GaN power supply. It can offer dual 4K display output, and it supports 120W fast charging. The launch price is $259.99.
Baseus has released another dock from the Spacemate RD1 series, and this one comes with the Plus moniker. It’s a 14-in-1 docking station, and the key highlight is that it comes with a built-in GaN power supply.
That means it doesn’t require any external adapter, which can be seen as an advantage, but compared to the regular RD1, which requires an external charger, it’s a bit larger. Of course, the former is an 11-in-1 dock, while the RD1 Plus has a total of 14 ports.
Among them, there are two HDMI ports, and both can offer 4K display output. However, only one of them supports a 120Hz refresh rate at that output resolution, and the other maxes out at 4K@60Hz. On the front, there are two USB-C ports with 45W fast charging support, while the Type-C port that connects to the host can offer up to 100W of power.
The company highlights that the built-in GaN power supply is rated for 140W input, but the total power output rating stands at 120W. There’s a built-in cooling fan to keep the dock cool during heavy loads, and the PowerTune 3.0 technology is said to dynamically allocate power based on the connected device.
Other than that, there are plenty of USB ports to connect peripherals, and all of them are rated for up to 10Gbps transfer speed. There’s one Gigabit Ethernet port, one SD card slot, and one TF reader as well.
Another notable highlight is the built-in screen on the front. It shows the power output from the dock, host connection status, and data transmission info. Beseus has launched the Spacemate RD1 Plus dock with a price tag of $259.99, and it’s available on Amazon.
