- Paralympian Ezra Frech emerged as unexpected frontrunner on Dancing With the Stars, sparking Bachelor casting rumors.
- Fans and Bachelor Nation alums, including Nick Viall and Tyler Cameron, have discussed the possibility of casting Ezra next season.
- The 21-year-old athlete addressed speculation in a recent interview. Here’s what he said.
This season of Dancing With the Stars has fans locked in to watch celebs dominate the dance floor every week, and spoiler alert: Paralympian Ezra Frech is a clear favorite. Sources close to the show previously told The Sun that producers found an unexpected frontrunner in him, and now, there might be another show with his name on it: The Bachelor.
Of course, details on who the show’s 30th Bachelor could be are pretty slim, especially after Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was scrapped. But it’s safe to say that DWTS fans are eating up the possibility of Ezra as the next Bachelor—and he isn’t necessarily opposed.
During an interview with The New York Post published on October 10, he admitted that he hadn’t initially seen the rumors.
“Really? Wow. I did not know people were saying that. That is really, really funny,” he said, later adding, “I don’t know, I’d have to see.”
His name has been thrown around a few times before he weighed in on the rumors.
Bachelor Nation alum Nick Viall and Perfect Match’s Jimmy Sotos discussed the possibility of ABC casting Ezra on the hit show’s next season in a September 2026 episode of The Viall Files.
“I did see some people saying Ezra from Dancing with the Stars. They were like, next Bachelor? I thought that was interesting,” the pod’s producer, Baylee Corona, said before Jimmy said, “He’s a baby,” upon learning the athlete was only 21.
Ezra’s DWTS competitor and Bachelor Nation alum, Tyler Cameron, echoed a similar sentiment when speaking with The New York Post.
“Maybe we put a pin in him and let him just keep being a stud and keep growing up … I came on at 26. So let’s say, five years,” he told the outlet.
More recently, pop culture podcaster Morgan Paige admitted that if another DWTS alum, Dylan Efron, were single in a “perfect world,” he’d be her pick. That is, until Ezra popped into her mind mid-sentence!
“I just had a revelation. They need a fresh start; The Bachelor does,” she said. “This week on Dancing with the Stars, that was Ezra Frech's whole package, about the fact that Dani is scrolling through her DMs because so many women want to date Ezra. Did I just crack the code? Does Ezra Frech need to be our next Bachelor?”
While fans in her comments agreed with her sentiment, the general consensus is that he’s still “too young” to front the franchise.
Either way, Ezra might be busy gearing up for a little thing called the 2028 Paralympics. Ever heard of it?
