The Danish police have arrested two men on suspicion of espionage, with media reporting that both suspects were Russian-speaking Ukrainians.
While the police gave no further details on Monday's arrests in the northern North Jutland Region, public broadcaster DR reported that MyDefence, a specialist drone detection and jamming firm, was the intended target.
"We carried out the arrest of two people on Monday October 19th," the North Jutland Police said in a statement.
Both men were charged with espionage at a Tuesday afternoon hearing at the court in the city of Aalborg, the police added.
The case is being handled in cooperation with the intelligence services, the statement added.
According to DR, the two suspects, both Ukrainians aged in their early 20s, had a Russian interpreter for the hearing.
Like other European countries supporting Ukraine, Denmark has been on high alert for Russian espionage.
Drones have emerged as a key weapon on the battlefield in Russia's invasion of Ukraine, with both sides using them for attack and surveillance purposes alike.
