The OnePlus 16 recently launched in China. A September leak suggested that the flagship might skip the Indian market. Instead, OnePlus could introduce the OnePlus 16R, and a new leak has revealed its key specifications.
According to the source, the OnePlus 16R is currently in the Production Validation Test (PVT) phase. The phone is reportedly being tested with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The OnePlus 16R is also tipped to feature three 50MP rear cameras. These include a primary sensor, an ultrawide camera, and a telephoto unit. If accurate, this would be a notable upgrade over the OnePlus 15R, which did not include a telephoto camera.
Additionally, the upcoming phone is said to feature a 165Hz refresh rate display and a battery exceeding 7,500mAh. It could also run ColorOS 17, the latest version of Oppo’s Android-based operating system.
Interestingly, the tipster claims that a phone with the same hardware is being tested under the Realme brand. However, details about its name, launch date, and availability remain unknown.
