The PBAT/APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council has created a Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management and adjusted the leadership of its Youth Mobilisation and Women Mobilisation directorates ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The changes were announced in a press statement signed and released by the council’s Secretary, Hope Uzodimma on Tuesday.
Under the new arrangement, Dr Farouk Adamu Aliyu has been appointed Director of the Directorate of Stage Organisation and Management, while Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello will serve as Co-Director.
The council also appointed Ayo Olawande as Director of Youth Mobilisation, with Dr Dayo Israel as Deputy Director.
For the Women Mobilisation Directorate, Dr Mary Aille Idele was named Director, while Dr Betta Edu will serve as Deputy Director and Hon. Imaan Suleman as Secretary.
According to the statement, the decision followed the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council and was aimed at strengthening its organisational structure, enhancing coordination and improving operational efficiency ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“The adjustments reflect the Council’s commitment to building a well-coordinated, inclusive and results-driven campaign structure capable of effectively mobilising Nigerians, particularly young people and women, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid,” the statement said.
The council said the appointees were expected to bring their experience, commitment and organisational capabilities to their respective responsibilities as preparations for the election intensified.
It added that the appointees were expected to work collaboratively with other directorates and relevant campaign structures to advance the council’s objectives and ensure the effective implementation of its mobilisation and campaign strategies.
PUNCH Online reports that this development comes days after President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the APC Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election on October 14 at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
According to PUNCH, the inauguration brought together APC leaders and politicians from other parties, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
The newspaper reported that Tinubu urged the council to secure his re-election while assuring members that he would not allow campaign activities to distract him from governance.
