Gospel singer Dumi Mkokstad has been at the centre of a social media storm after screenshots of alleged DMs linking him to infidelity began making the rounds online. Rather than address the claims head-on, a casual video of him in a moving car with his family has set tongues wagging in October 2026.
In the clip, Dumi speaks directly to the camera from the driver's seat in a selfie-style video, cheerfully announcing a new music video on his YouTube channel and teasing another surprise release for the coming Friday. He encourages viewers to subscribe so they stay updated. The mood is light and upbeat, with no reference to the controversy swirling around his name.
Zipho holds her ground
While Dumi stayed quiet on the allegations, his wife Ziphozenkosi was anything but. After a fan, @miss_sinajan, made a pointed remark suggesting it was convenient to be a Christian man whose church brothers rallied to protect his reputation when cheating claims surfaced, Zipho hit back without flinching.
"Oh, so you were there when he was allegedly cheating? Have you personally verified those screenshots yourself? And who exactly is this girl that so many gospel artists want to so desperately pursue her?" she wrote in response.
She went further, asking the fan to imagine how it would feel if fabricated conversations implicating them personally were circulated by anonymous accounts while strangers threatened their family and tried to pull apart everything they had built. "And when the people who love you come to your defence, they are somehow in the wrong?" she added.
On 16 October 2026, Zipho had already broken a lengthy social media silence to warn followers about impersonation accounts using her image to scam people, taking indirect aim at AI-generated content designed to mislead the public.
