After bringing virtually everyone back last summer, the OKC Thunder made several changes to its roster this time around.
Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins have been traded away. All three helped OKC win a 2025 NBA championship, and their departures will create new opportunities for those still on the team.
Cason Wallace figures to take on a starting role. Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain will be tasked with providing a scoring punch. And the Thunder will also integrate rookies Aday Mara, Bennett Stirtz, Otega Oweh and Josh Dix.
Here are stat predictions for every Thunder player this NBA season:

OKC Thunder stat predictions for 2026-27 NBA season
Points (PTS); Rebounds (REB); Assists (AST); Blocks (BLK); Steals (STL); Personal Fouls (PF); Turnovers (TO); Field Goal Percentage (FG%); 3-Point Percentage (3P%); Free-Throw Percentage (FT%); Minutes (MIN); Games Played (GP); Games Started (GS)
Brooks Barnhizer
- 2025-26 stats: 1.7 PTS; 2.0 REB; 0.6 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.3 STL; 0.7 PF; 0.3 TO; 38.0 FG%; 29.2 3P%; 70.0 FT%; 8.7 MIN; 40 GP; 0 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 2.0 PTS; 2.2 REB; 0.5 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.3 STL; 0.8 TO; 40.2 FG%; 31.0 3P%; 71.5 FT%; 9.0 MIN; 35 GP; 0 GS
Barnhizer played in 40 games last season, just 10 shy of the maximum games someone can play while on a two-way contract. OKC mostly turned to the then-rookie forward when it was short-handed due to injuries or down the stretch of its blowout victories.
Barnhizer has more size than some of OKC's other wings, so that could help him get his number called this season. He also rebounds well and provides plenty of hustle plays. But his struggles from 3-point range ultimately limit how much he can be on the floor.

Alex Caruso
- 2025-26 stats: 6.2 PTS; 2.8 REB; 2.0 AST; 0.3 BLK; 1.3 STL; 1.2 PF; 0.9 TO; 42.3 FG%; 29.3 3P%; 80.4 FT%; 18.2 MIN; 56 GP; 0 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 7.9 PTS; 3.1 REB; 2.7 AST; 0.4 BLK; 1.7 STL; 2.2 PF; 1.1 TO; 44.9 FG%; 36.6 3P%; 81.7 FT%; 19.8 MIN; 57 GP; 0 GS
Some players will be in different roles for OKC this upcoming season, but I don't think Caruso will be one of those guys. He'll still provide versatility on defense, some catch-and-shoot 3-pointers and a ton of hustle plays.
Caruso will also continue to come off the bench and play around 20 minutes per game during the regular season. That's the sweet spot for the 32-year-old guard, who saves his best basketball for the playoffs. But I do expect him to be more efficient this time around after shooting a career-low 29.3% from deep.
Josh Dix
- 2025-26 stats: None
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 4.5 PTS; 1.5 REB; 0.5 AST; 0.0 BLK; 0.3 STL; 2.0 PF; 0.3 TO; 45 FG%; 38.9 3P%; 50.0 FT%; 13.2 MIN; 6 GP; 0 GS
Dix signed a two-way contract with OKC this summer after going undrafted. He's a 6-foot-5 guard who shot 38.4% from distance throughout his four-year college career.
That floor spacing could be useful if the Thunder finds itself bitten by the injury bug again. But if that doesn't happen, Dix is likely to spend most of his rookie season with the OKC Blue.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- 2025-26 stats: 31.1 PTS; 4.3 REB; 6.6 AST; 0.8 BLK; 1.4 STL; 2.0 PF; 2.2 TO; 55.3 FG%; 38.6 3P%; 87.9 FT%; 33.2 MIN; 68 GP; 68 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 32.2 PTS; 4.4 REB; 6.1 AST; 0.9 BLK; 1.3 STL; 2.1 PF; 2.3 TO; 54.7 FG%; 40.0 3P%; 90.3 FT%; 34.9 MIN; 76 GP; 76 GS
Gilgeous-Alexander only played an average of 6.8 minutes per fourth quarter last season, and he sat out 26 fourth quarters entirely. But I expect the Thunder to be in more close regular-season games this time around since growing pains are to be expected after shaking up the roster.
That's why I'm projecting Gilgeous-Alexander to average more points this season despite Jalen Williams, another elite scorer, now being healthy. And I believe he'll become just the 10th different player in NBA history to shoot at least 50% from the field, 40% from deep and 90% from the free-throw line in the same season.
Isaiah Hartenstein
- 2025-26 stats: 9.2 PTS; 9.4 REB; 3.5 AST; 0.8 BLK; 1.0 STL; 2.5 PF; 1.7 TO; 62.2 FG%; 0.0 3P%; 61.0 FT%; 24.2 MIN; 47 GP; 46 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 8.9 PTS; 9.0 REB; 3.3 AST; 0.9 BLK; 0.7 STL; 2.5 PF; 1.4 TO; 62.9 FG%; 20.0 3P%; 66.4 FT%; 24.0 MIN; 62 GP; 62 GS
Jaylin Williams continues to improve his game. Mara looks ready for real minutes after a stellar preseason. And there's still Thomas Sorber, a talented rookie who has yet to make his NBA debut due to injuries.
OKC has plenty of center options behind Hartenstein, so it makes sense that his counting stats will decrease a bit, but he'll still be just as impactful. His combination of rebounding, screen setting, passing and rim protecting makes him one of the most valuable contributors on the team.
Chet Holmgren
- 2025-26 stats: 17.1 PTS; 8.9 REB; 1.7 AST; 1.9 BLK; 0.6 STL; 2.3 PF; 1.6 TO; 55.7 FG%; 36.2 3P%; 79.2 FT%; 28.9 MIN; 69 GP; 69 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 18.2 PTS; 8.6 REB; 1.9 AST; 1.8 BLK; 0.6 STL; 2.3 PF; 1.7 TO; 54.2 FG%; 36.9 3P%; 80.0 FT%; 29.5 MIN; 74 GP; 74 GS
Holmgren earned All-NBA third team, All-Defensive first team and All-Star selections last season at age 24. But he still enters this year with something to prove after underperforming against San Antonio in the Western Conference finals.
Holmgren's elite work ethic gives me the confidence that he'll bounce back. It'll also help to have a healthy Jalen Williams, who does a great job of finding OKC's bigs for easy buckets, in the mix. Holmgren is a lock to make the All-Defensive team if he meets the requirement for games played, and he should be in the All-NBA and All-Star conversations once again.
More: Who will be OKC Thunder's biggest threats other than Wemby, Spurs? Let's rank them
Aday Mara
- 2025-26 stats: None
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 6.8 PTS; 5.1 REB; 1.7 AST; 1.2 BLK; 0.2 STL; 1.8 PF; 0.9 TO; 63.4 FG%; 12.5 3P%; 67.9 FT%; 14.6 MIN; 66 GP; 3 GS
Mara absolutely dominated during the preseason. The 7-3, 262 pound center was rim deterrent for opposing players. He was a lob threat for his teammates. He was a force on the boards. And he was a skilled passer at his size.
But most impressively, Mara made significant improvements to his conditioning after it was a clear weakness during college and Summer League play. He showed that he's ready for real minutes, and he should get them this season despite being in a crowded frontcourt.
Jared McCain
- 2025-26 stats: 8.3 PTS; 2.0 REB; 1.3 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.5 STL; 1.2 PF; 0.8 TO; 42.5 FG%; 38.5 3P%; 86.4 FT%; 17.3 MIN; 67 GP; 3 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 12.1 PTS; 2.3 REB; 2.2 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.7 STL; 1.5 PF; 1.1 TO; 47.1 FG%; 40.4 3P%; 86.8 FT%; 23.1 MIN; 72 GP; 1 GS
It isn't easy to join a championship contender at the trade deadline and get thrown into a key role, but McCain did exactly that last season. The former Philadelphia guard provided a spark off the bench for OKC and even started in two playoff games.
McCain now has even more familiarity with the Thunder's system, and he'll have even more opportunities with Joe and Wiggins no longer around. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he led the team in made 3-pointers this season while also providing a bit of shot creation and playmaking.

Ajay Mitchell
- 2025-26 stats: 13.6 PTS; 3.3 REB; 3.6 AST; 0.3 BLK; 1.2 STL; 2.1 PF; 1.4 TO; 48.5 FG%; 34.7 3P%; 87.0 FT%; 25.8 MIN; 57 GP; 16 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 14.9 PTS; 3.5 REB; 4.1 AST; 0.3 BLK; 1.4 STL; 2.2 PF; 1.6 TO; 49.4 FG%; 36.9 3P%; 88.2 FT%; 26.9 MIN; 68 GP; 21 GS
Mitchell averaged a career-high 13.6 points last regular season, and that increased to 15.1 points during the playoffs. The 24-year-old guard is a dangerous scorer who can knock it down from both inside and outside of the arc, but he can also create for others and hold his own defensively.
Mitchell is due for a larger role this time around, as he'll likely lead the second unit, and he should be the frontrunner for the Sixth Man of the Year award if he can stay healthy. He only played in 36 games as a rookie and 57 games last season.
Otega Oweh
- 2025-26 stats: None
- Projected 2026-27 stats: None
OKC selected Oweh with the No. 41 pick in the 2026 draft, and it signed him to a two-way contract. It was a full-circle moment for a player who spent the first two seasons of his college career at Oklahoma before transferring to Kentucky.
But Oweh tore his right Achilles tendon during OKC's preseason game against Indiana on Oct. 13, and he underwent successful surgery the following day. He'll miss the entire 2026-27 season.
Thomas Sorber
- 2025-26 stats: None
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 5.8 PTS; 3.4 REB; 1.1 AST; 0.6 BLK; 0.4 STL; 1.4 PF; 0.6 TO; 55.4 FG%; 16.7 3P%; 70.6 FT%; 10.8 MIN; 27 GP; 0 GS
Sorber missed all of last season due to a torn ACL in his right knee. He then underwent an arthroscopic procedure on that same knee this offseason, which caused him to miss all of Summer League and preseason play.
A timeline for Sorber's return has not been provided, but minutes will be tough to earn once that happens. Still, there's a lot to like about his game. He can finish around the rim, serve as a lob threat, find the open man, rack up rebounds and use his 7-6 wingspan to block shots.

Bennett Stirtz
- 2025-26 stats: None
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 6.0 PTS; 0.8 REB; 1.9 AST; 0.0 BLK; 0.5 STL; 1.2 PF; 1.0 TO; 46.4 FG%; 38.7 3P%; 83.5 FT%; 14.7 MIN; 63 GP; 0 GS
OKC selected Stirtz with the No. 16 pick in the 2026 draft. He's a 6-4 guard who mostly created for himself at the college level, but he showed an impressive ability to knock down shots off the catch this preseason.
But Stirtz is also known for being an iron man player. He suited up for all 140 of his college games, and he averaged 36.6 minutes in the process. That consistent availability could come in handy for the Thunder, which was hit hard by injuries last season.
Nikola Topić
- 2025-26 stats: 5.2 PTS; 1.9 REB; 4.4 AST; 0.0 BLK; 0.5 STL; 1.3 PF; 2.5 TO; 43.1 FG%; 40.0 3P%; 40.0 FT%; 16.0 MIN; 10 GP; 2 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats:4.9 PTS; 1.6 REB; 4.0 AST; 0.0 BLK; 0.4 STL; 1.2 PF; 1.9 TO; 42.7 FG%; 33.4 3P%; 67.5 FT%; 12.9 MIN; 36 GP; 0 GS
After missing his entire first season due to a partially torn ACL in his left knee, Topić was diagnosed with testicular cancer in October 2025. He then completed chemotherapy and appeared in 10 games last season.
Topić also underwent a minimally invasive lumbar microdiscectomy this offseason, causing him to miss Summer League and preseason play. The 21-year-old guard has shown glimpses of what he can do as a facilitator and a finisher with great positional size at 6-6 when he is on the floor, but he'll first have to get healthy.
Cason Wallace
- 2025-26 stats: 8.6 PTS; 3.1 REB; 2.6 AST; 0.4 BLK; 1.9 STL; 2.0 PF; 0.9 TO; 43.2 FG%; 35.1 3P%; 80.9 FT%; 26.6 MIN; 77 GP; 58 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 9.8 PTS; 3.3 REB; 3.1 AST; 0.5 BLK; 2.2 STL; 2.1 PF; 1.3 TO; 45.4 FG%; 36.1 3P%; 81.6 FT%; 28.9 MIN; 78 GP; 73 GS
With Dort now gone, Wallace figures to move into the starting lineup. And the former All-Defensive second team guard will immediately become OKC's top point-of-attack defender.
I'm not predicting a huge jump offensively for Wallace, even though he showed flashes of that upside last season when OKC was without Gilgeous-Alexander. I think Mitchell and McCain are the guys for that. But it would be encouraging to see Wallace increase his 3-point percentage after going from 41.9% as a rookie to 35.6% and then 35.1%.

Jalen Williams
- 2025-26 stats: 17.1 PTS; 4.6 REB; 5.5 AST; 0.3 BLK; 1.2 STL; 2.0 PF; 1.9 TO; 48.4 FG%; 29.9 3P%; 83.7 FT%; 28.4 MIN; 33 GP; 33 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 22.4 PTS; 5.8 REB; 5.3 AST; 0.6 BLK; 1.6 STL; 2.5 PF; 2.1 TO; 52.4 FG%; 36.8 3P%; 33.3 MIN; 70 GP; 70 GS
Don't look too hard at Williams' stat line from last season. He never seemed to get to 100% health after dealing with a nagging right shooting wrist injury and multiple strains in both hamstrings.
But Williams is entering this season at full strength, and I expect him to show why he was a 2024-25 All-NBA third team selection. He'll create for himself at a high level, create for others, defend every position and contribute on the glass. And I think he'll be in All-NBA conversations once again.
Jaylin Williams
- 2025-26 stats: 7.2 PTS; 5.5 REB; 2.4 AST; 0.5 BLK; 0.5 STL; 1.8 PF; 1.0 TO; 42.3 FG%; 38.3 3P%; 79.3 FT%; 19.6 MIN; 65 GP; 11 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 6.7 PTS; 5.4 REB; 2.5 AST; 0.6 BLK; 0.5 STL; 2.0 PF; 0.8 TO; 43.5 FG%; 39.1 3P%; 77.7 FT%; 18.1 MIN; 68 GP; 10 GS
Williams didn't see any significant statistical jumps last season, but he undoubtedly made strides in Year 4. He improved as a rim protector, and he embraced an even larger leadership role both on and off the court.
Williams' stats might take a slight dip this time around because of how stacked OKC is at the center position. But he'll continue to be a key contributor off the bench and one of the most respected voices in the locker room.
Kenrich Williams
- 2025-26 stats: 6.5 PTS; 3.3 REB; 1.4 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.6 STL; 1.1 PF; 0.8 TO; 47.3 FG%; 38.8 3P%; 63.5 FT%; 15.3 MIN; 56 GP; 2 GS
- Projected 2026-27 stats: 6.9 PTS; 3.7 REB; 1.6 AST; 0.1 BLK; 0.7 STL; 1.5 PF; 0.6 TO; 47.1 FG%; 37.9 3P%; 68.2 FT%; 17.8 MIN; 59 GP; 3 GS
The Thunder knows what it'll get out of Williams when his number gets called. He'll play within the team on offense, score efficiently, defend multiple positions and provide energy at all times.
I don't expect any of that to change this season. The 31-year-old forward will still do all of the little things that help win games, and he'll likely do so in a slightly expanded role following the moves OKC made this summer.
