President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reviewing the Customs Act to protect Free Zones incentives, safeguard investments and strengthen investor confidence.
He said that the expansion underscores the role of Ghanaian entrepreneurship and domestic investment in driving industrial growth, expanding employment opportunities.
It is also seeking to position Ghana as a competitive manufacturing and export hub.
The President said this when he toured Dignity DTRT, a Ghanaian-owned garment manufacturing company operating under the Free Zones Scheme, as the Government advances its industrialisation and 24-Hour Economy agenda.
The company is preparing to commission a new manufacturing facility expected to create over 15,000 jobs and operate around the clock, strengthening Ghana’s garment manufacturing capacity and export potential.
