Triple M radio host Ewan Dixon has died in hospital months after he was seriously injured in a freak horse riding accident near Melbourne
The radio veteran, who spent several years at Gold FM in Melbourne, died at the Angliss Hospital in Upper Ferntree Gully on September 24, with his death only having recently been relayed to the wider community by his care worker Jason Davis.

Friend and former colleague Gavin Wood posted the news on Facebook, telling friends of the “very bad” accident.
“He fought so hard to get fit and well but the injuries were too severe,” Wood said.
“He was my panel operator at Gold FM in Melbourne and did many on-air gigs around the country.”

Born in Toowoomba, Dixon’s radio career spanned several decades at radio stations in Brisbane and Melbourne.
He worked as an announcer across Brisbane’s B105, Melbourne’s Gold 104.3 and Triple M Melbourne.
He was most recently featured on the line-up of RadioHits.us WNDR.
