Rob Gronkowski knows a thing or two about what makes a good tight end, and revealed which current one reminds him the most of his game.
In an exclusive interview with ClutchPoints for Gronkowski’s partnership with Bounty, the four-time Super Bowl champion revealed which current NFL tight end is the most similar to his gameplay.
“Right now, he doesn’t remind me of my size because we’re different sizes, but the way that he plays is George Kittle,” Gronkowski revealed.

Gronk broke down what exactly made Kittle his choice in comparing the way they handle the position.
“The way he blocks defensive ends, how much passion he has in the blocking game, but also the way he catches the ball and dominates throwing defenders off of him,” Gronk explained. “He’s a complete tight end. He reminds me most of myself.”
Kittle is currently back in action after suffering a torn right Achilles tendon during the NFC wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles in January. He was officially cleared for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season.
Being recognized by Gronk is an impressive feat given the stacked accolades behind the former New England Patriots star. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and made First-team All-Pro four times on top of his four Super Bowl wins with the Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gronk announced his final retirement in November 2025 as a Patriot signing a ceremonial one-day contract with the organization that he won three Super Bowl champions with. He initially retired in March 2019 but came out of retirement in 2020 to play alongside Tom Brady for his final season in the NFL with the Buccaneers.
Since retiring, Gronk has pivoted to broadcast media as an NFL studio analyst for Fox Sports. He also co-hosts the podcast “The Gronk & Jules Show” with his former New England teammate Julian Edelman.
