A K-Pop group revealed the reality of living together in a large dormitory.
On October 19th, MBC FM4U’s Noon Song of Hope Song with Kim Shin Young featured special DJ Sunny from Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) and rookie group A2O SOUL.
From the start of their first radio commute, A2O SOUL radiated the fresh charm typical of rookies.

During the broadcast, they shared stories about life in the dormitory that come with being a 15-member group.
Sunny asked the members, “Since you’re a large group, I can relate a lot because I started as a 9-member group and performed as an 8-member group. The preparation time is long and the bathrooms are limited, right?”
The members expressed surprise and agreement, which made everyone laugh. When asked how the bathroom and shower order is decided, the members answered, “By age order.” They also shared that they flexibly adjust the order depending on the day’s schedule, allowing members who need to leave early to shower first.
While having many members comes with some inconveniences, the members emphasized there are definite advantages. They highlighted the unique unity of a large group and the benefit of hearing many different opinions and thoughts.

The conversation then turned to their debut song “SUPERSTAR.” The members recalled how, when they first heard the song, they wondered, “Can I really become a superstar?” As a rookie group aspiring to become superstars, the lyrics resonated with them even more deeply.
They also expressed gratitude for the help they received during their trainee days. The members shared that whenever they were going through tough times or had concerns, senior member Sunny reached out and offered support, which they appreciated greatly.
They also talked about their first group dinner menu, listing simple favorites like beef bulgogi and kimchi stew, revealing down-to-earth tastes.
A2O SOUL is a new 15-member multinational boy group introduced by producer Lee Soo Man. On the 12th, they held a global debut showcase with A2O LITE, and debuted with the song “SUPERSTAR” on the 13th.
“SUPERSTAR” was produced by Yoo Young Jin, Lee Soo Man’s longtime musical partner, reinterpreting the 1980s synthesizer sound in a modern way.
Notably, DJ Sunny, who hosted the radio show, is Lee Soo Man’s niece and a former SM Entertainment artist. She is currently signed with A2O Entertainment and participates in training and producing programs for rookie artists. She is also scheduled to appear on the radio again on the 21st with junior group A2O LITE, from the same agency.
