In Nathan Fielder’s new documentary “You Can See Everything,” which follows former billionaire Elizabeth Holmes, audiences will be shocked to discover the entrepreneur allegedly asked for a share of the movie’s profits.
Directed by Lance Oppenheim in collaboration with Nathan Fielder, late in the documentary, Fielder alleges that Holmes’s partner, Billy Evans, called a meeting to negotiate a share of the documentary’s profits. The alleged meeting is reenacted with actor Christopher Abbott portraying Evans sitting down with executives of the production company behind the new documentary, A24.
The movie later reveals Evans backing down from the alleged demand and will not receive a share of the documentary’s profits, according to PEOPLE.
The tell-all film gained mass attention in recent weeks for its deep secrecy until its unveiling at the September Telluride Film Festival in Colorado. The near three-hour film follows the Theranos founder in the 34 days leading up to the start of her federal prison sentence in May 2023.
Refreshed leadership advice from CEO Stephanie Mehta
Fielder, known for his satirical work like “Nathan For You,” is invited into Holmes’ beachfront home in California, with her partner Billy Evans and their two children. Although the initial concept of the film was to focus on Holmes, critics have noted Evans’ heavy-handed control over the CEO’s life and the movie.
According to Vanity Fair, Fielder stated that Evans and the filmmakers grew distant. “Near the end of filming, Billy was trying to exert a level of control over the project that made us uncomfortable, and communication with him sort of broke down because of that,” he told the audience at Telluride.

Evans first met Holmes through a mutual friend at a charity event in 2017, later getting engaged in 2018.
