MBABANE – Eswatini music to the World!
Manana and Nasty C joined forces, releasing the official music video for their reflective collaboration ‘Alright’ on September 15 2026 and just a month later, the single’s video is already sitting on over 1.1 million views on YouTube.
The song appears on Manana’s latest album, it really isn’t what it is and the accompanying visual keeps the focus firmly on the music and its message. Directed by CRTVSHOTS, who also handled the cinematography, colour grading and editing, the video takes a stripped-back approach that mirrors the track’s introspective tone.
Rather than relying on elaborate visuals, the clip builds its atmosphere through simple, intimate moments. One standout image sees Nasty C riding a bicycle while Manana’s vocals provide a calm backdrop to the unfolding scenes.
At the heart of ‘Alright’ is a message of perseverance. The song reflects on difficult seasons while holding onto the belief that things can eventually get better. Nasty C adds another layer to that message with a verse that turns personal experiences into a broader reflection on resilience.
The collaboration carries notable history. Manana has previously expressed his admiration for Nasty C, praising the rapper’s melodic instincts and approach to music. The pair first worked together on Nasty C’s I Love It Here, with ‘Alright’ now bringing them together on Manana’s project.
The song also featured on Channel O’s Top 30 following its release on August 19. The exposure adds to a milestone year for the singer, songwriter and producer. In April, Manana was named the 2026 Standard Bank Young Artist for Music.
He is scheduled to perform at the Sandton Convention Centre, standing out as the only artist from Eswatini listed in this year’s line-up. Blending Manana’s soulful R&B sound with Nasty C’s hip-hop style, the track further establishes the artist within major South African music platforms.
