Rustam Emomali, Speaker of the Majlisi Milli (Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament) of Tajikistan, who is also Dushanbe Mayor and President of the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF), on October 14 inaugurated the football academy of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), located in the village of Dashtak in the Qalai-Khumb jamoat of Darvoz district.
The academy’s two-story building covers an area of 7,800 square meters. It is equipped with dormitory rooms, a conference hall, offices, a sports hall, changing rooms, showers and a canteen for 40 people, according to Rustam Emomali’s Telegram channel.
The football pitch has a capacity of 2,000 spectators and was built in accordance with international sports facility standards and FIFA requirements.

Construction began in March 2026 on the instructions of Rustam Emomali and was completed in September.
After the opening of the academy, Rustam Emomali attended a children’s football festival, where young participants demonstrated their skills, and also familiarized himself with the complex’s infrastructure.

The academy has two pitches with artificial turf — one indoor and one outdoor. The grounds also include facilities for the accommodation and training of young athletes.
