Casio has officially launched the G-Shock GAC-2500 and GMC-2500 series watches in Japan and the UK. The lineup consists of a total of nine models, bringing an analog design inspired by the original G-Shock DW-5000C watch. The GAC-2500 series features an automatic calendar, a multi-mission date display, 200 m (20 bar) water resistance, and an LED backlight.
Casio has introduced its new G-Shock GAC-2500 and GMC-2500 series watches in Japan and the UK. The company’s new lineup comprises nine models across the GAC-2500 and GMC-2500 collection, including the GAC-2500-1A, the GAC-2500-3A, the GAC-2500-7A, the GAC-2500-9A, the GMC-2500-1A, the GMC-2500-1A8, the GMC-2500D-1A, the GMC-2500D-1A2, and the GMC-2500G-9A.
These watches feature an analog design inspired by the original DW-5000C watch while retaining the brand’s signature shock-resistance construction. The difference between the two series lies in their exterior, with the GAC-2500 featuring an all-resin construction, while the GMC-2500 watches combine metal bezels with stainless steel bands, offering a more premium finish.
Speaking of color finishes, the GAC-2500-1A, the GAC-2500-3A, the GAC-2500-7A, and the GAC-2500-9A models come in black, green, white, and yellow colorways, respectively. On the other hand, the GMC-2500-1A, the GMC-2500-1A8, the GMC-2500D-1A, and the GMC-2500D-1A2 watches ship with silver-tone colorways. While the GMC-2500G-9A model features a gold-tone aesthetic.
Despite their differences in exterior design, both series offer the same core features. The dial elements include hour markers, neobrite-coated hands, and a small seconds subdial opposite a three-digit rolling date window. Unlike conventional analog watches, which attach the hands to a shaft, these watches use magnetic force to hold the hour and minute hands in position.
Practical features include an automatic calendar, a stopwatch, 200 m (20 bar) water resistance, and an LED backlight for better visibility in low-light conditions. Furthermore, the watches use a standard battery with an estimated battery life of around two years.
As for price, the Casio G-Shock the GAC-2500-1A, the GAC-2500-3A, the GAC-2500-7A, and the GAC-2500-9A are priced at £110 (¥20,900) each, while the GMC-2500-1A and the GMC-2500-1A8 cost £230 (¥37,400) each. The GMC-2500D-1A and the GMC-2500D-1A2 are priced at £300 (¥49,500) each, while the GMC-2500G-9A costs £250 (¥39,600). Speaking of availability, these watches are scheduled to go on sale in November 2026.
