Fireblocks has joined the Association for Financial Markets in Europe’s Collaboration Network. It comes in as an Engagement Collaborator, and the announcement is dated October 16, 2026.
The stated goal is to support onchain infrastructure in Europe’s capital markets.
What Fireblocks actually signed up for
AFME’s Collaboration Network is a program built to connect the association with financial technology and regulatory technology providers.
The network runs on two tiers. One is called Innovation Collaborator. The other, the one Fireblocks chose, is Engagement Collaborator.
The Engagement tier comes with a specific set of benefits. Those include brand visibility, strategic influence through AFME’s major events, and business development opportunities.
Why a custody firm wants a seat at the table
Fireblocks describes itself as an enterprise digital asset infrastructure platform. Its product lineup covers secure custody, tokenization, stablecoin payments, and onchain settlement.
The platform supports more than 150 blockchains.
Fireblocks also says its platform has handled cumulative transaction volumes in the trillions of dollars.
Its participation is expected to help inform regulatory conversations as European market participants weigh how blockchain could improve asset settlement and overall market efficiency.
The tokenization backdrop
Traditional assets are increasingly being tokenized, and institutional interest in bringing blockchain into regulated markets has been growing.
Europe’s capital markets operate within a dense regulatory framework, which means any onchain adoption has to be shaped alongside policymakers rather than around them.
