Last week, Emmerdale’s Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) successfully sourced 100k from Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) after sabotaging a game of poker.
Overjoyed that he had beaten a Tate and now had enough money to open The Hide, Robert took his family to the pub to celebrate.
For some reason, Robert thought it was wise to hide the bag of money in the corner of a pub sofa. Far too focused on enjoying drinks with the likes of Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy), Robert failed to realise the money had been stolen.
Assigning themselves detectives for the case, Aaron and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) headed into the village to investigate their culprits, but neither of them found the person responsible.

In today’s episode, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) arrived at Emmerdale Farm and left Aaron, Sarah, Serena and Robert surprised when she presented them with the missing bag of money.
She claimed that the Woolpack’s window cleaner had nicked it – but someone in that room had already worked out that Charity was lying.
In the pub, Sarah told Charity that she knew that she had stolen the money. Sarah was so disappointed in her gran. After spending so long lying about baby Leyla, you would’ve thought Charity had learnt that hiding the truth will only backfire.
It was clear that nicking the money was just Charity’s attempt at trying to sort things out between her and Sarah, but it just made things worse. Sarah knew that Charity was jealous, and also couldn’t handle the fact that she was enjoying living with the Sugdens.
As Sarah left, she told Charity that she was banned from seeing baby Leyla.
Charity’s secrets have damaged her relationship with Sarah forever.
Is there anything she can do to accept this?
Or will she continue to fight for Sarah’s forgiveness, hoping she might change her mind?
