Milan went 2-0 down in the first half, with Bournemouth scoring both goals from the spot.
Mike Maignan conceded the second for a reaction foul, which also cost him a straight red card.
Amine Adli converted a free kick to make it 3-0 in the second half.

“The penalty on the corner and the red card changed everything, so it was not a game. It was not a game,” Milan coach Ruben Amorim said at full-time.
“We didn’t have time to recover from the first penalty. We tried to push in the end, but the third goal made it even harder for us.”

Milan have now lost two of their first three league-phase games in the Europa League. However, they remain unbeaten in Serie A, where they sit fourth, with four wins and three draws.
On Sunday, they’ll visit strugglers Udinese in Serie A Round 8.
