There’s nothing quite like Claudia Winkleman striding across the Scottish Highlands in a cape and a pair of sturdy boots for a new series of BBC One’s The Traitors.
Her signature look of oversized layers, tartan, cape jackets and statement boots is set to dominate AW26 wardrobes once again, and if the first episodes of The Celebrity Traitor’s are anything to go by, we’re in for a vintage-inspired treat.
Our favourite host has already delivered some major fashion moments of the season, despite being only a few episodes in.
First up, we saw Winkleman head out on a mission in this gorgeous chocolate-brown Skye by Brora Wool Bomber Jacket. However, at £545, it comes with a hefty price tag.
Instead, we’ve spotted H&M’s Oversized Felted Jacket, decidedly cheaper at £49.99, but with similar buckle detailing, a belted hem, and button cuffs.
A definite chill hangs in the air at Ardross Castle, and not just from that tense breakfast scene with the celebrities; for another mission, Winkleman stayed warm in this super chic 16 Arlington Nofre Shearling Jacket. It’s nearly sold out, but at a jaw-dropping £2,223, it’s an investment most of us will admire from afar.

We’ve spotted this £75 Per Una faux-fur reversible bomber jacket that’s just as fluffy and cosy, plus reversible. One side is a minimal cotton finish, the other is a plush faux fur, with a funnel neckline and button fastenings.
Winkleman paired it with a statement pleated skirt from Chopova Lowena, a London label known for mixing folklore prints with punk, and a black Ebony Puff Sleeve Knitted Jumper by Scottish designer Judy R Clark, which is now sold out.
This Chocolate Gingham Kilt from Albaray offers a similar style, in a dark brown rather than black. It’s also a midi-length with a pleated skirt and two leather strap adjusters at the waist, whereas this ONLY Women’s Onlmelita Top is basically identical to the presenter’s designer knit.
Her roundtable looks are also a lot of fun, especially in one episode where she wore a rare flash of colour: a sold-out pink Comme des Garçons Girl cotton poplin shirt. You can always rely on Uniqlo for good-quality basics, and its Oxford Boxy Shirt is a fraction of the price, still available in all sizes, and a great dupe of Winkleman’s.
She paired her shirt with a Le Kilt Black Oban Midi Kilt, and if you’ve become as obsessed with kilts as we have, you’re in luck, as we’ve just discovered this White Stuff Kali Flannel Midi Kilt Skirt for only £79.
Winkleman’s wardrobe really shines in footwear, and her taste is impeccable. In episode four, she wore polished black Grenson brogues, a timeless style for anyone’s wardrobe, but she’s also been spotted in Bottega Veneta’s Lug Leather Ankle Boots, with chunky soles perfect for stomping around a Scottish castle.
Last but not least, her knitwear has been heritage-inspired and layered over crisp shirts and brocade skirts. While her Genevieve Sweeney Lin Lambswool Jacquard Knitted Vest is gorgeous, we don’t have £250 to part with; however, this Cos Sparkly Bouclé-Knit Vest is just as good thanks to the metallic threads, for under £90.
Winkleman’s style this season of The Celebrity Traitor’s isn’t too hard to emulate in your own wardrobe, but without the designer price tags.
From statement knits to chunky boots, belt-buckled midi kilts, or faux fur jackets, she wears plenty of pieces that wouldn’t look out of place hanging in your closet, whether you’re a Faithful or a Traitor.
