Public service AI continues to surge, with seven in 10 mandarins now users.
Almost three-quarters of public servants are using AI in their jobs. But concerns remain about whether it’s being used safely and effectively.
In The Mandarin’s 2026 Frank and Fearless Survey, 71% of respondents told us they used AI in their jobs. This is an increase from 28% in 2024.
Commonwealth public servants were slightly more likely to be users, at 74% compared with 66% of state respondents.
