The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, has met with the President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr Ike Neliaku, to discuss cultural diplomacy, Nigeria’s national image and preparations for the 2026 World Public Relations Forum.
The meeting, held on Saturday, also focused on the World Public Relations Forum scheduled to take place in Nigeria from November 15 to 21, 2026.

The meeting was disclosed in a post on the minister’s official X account.
Discussions centred on strengthening collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the NIPR to promote Nigeria’s image internationally through strategic communication, cultural diplomacy and public relations.
The engagement comes as Nigeria prepares to host the international forum, which is expected to bring together public relations professionals and other stakeholders to discuss developments in the global communications industry.
The proposed collaboration is expected to support efforts to project Nigeria’s cultural heritage, strengthen its international reputation and enhance the country’s engagement with global audiences.
