When we introduced the new Google Health app, Health Coach, and Fitbit Air just a few months ago, we set out on an ambitious journey: to shift health technology from a fragmented, reactive data-tracking ecosystem to a proactive, personalized companion for your everyday life.
The response has been incredible, with Fitbit Air capturing new users’ attention and drawing new audiences into Google Health. But that was just the beginning. We knew we’d need to continuously improve and innovate to make our app and personalized coaching as meaningful and helpful as possible. Over the past few months, we’ve focused on listening closely to feedback, relentlessly iterating with 10 releases and 55 feature updates to make our experiences better over time.
We know that true progress happens in the rhythm of daily life: meeting you where you are, adapting to your routine, and continuously improving. Today, we’re taking our next step forward across our devices, software, and ecosystem.
Introducing Google Fitbit Edge: A deliberate step change in design and performance. Sitting between the lightweight simplicity of Fitbit Air and the power of Pixel Watch 5, Fitbit Edge is built for active lifestyles, offering glanceable, real-time guidance and serving as an on-wrist window to the Google Health Coach.
Improving Fitbit Air: From bringing passive cardiometabolic trend tracking with Health Guardian features to innovating our activity detection accuracy for 100+ workouts, we're making our tracker experiences smarter, more proactive, and deeply integrated across our platform to do the thinking so you don’t have to. New Metal Mesh Fitbit Air bands expand the styling possibilities, transforming your everyday tracker into elegant jewelry.
Making a leap forward for women’s health: Recognizing that health looks different across every body and life stage, we’re partnering with Flo Health — the world’s leading female health app — to integrate deeply important cycle, pregnancy, and menopause guidance directly into our app and Coach, alongside groundbreaking research in this underserved and often-generalized population.
Welcoming world-class talent to Google Health: We’re welcoming exceptional new leaders, researchers, and builders to join Performance Advisor Stephen Curry on the Google Health team to accelerate our mission and push the boundaries of what health technology can do.
Health is complex, personal, and deeply human. We don’t have all the answers, but we are committed to showing up every day, learning from you, and continuously refining our tools to help you live a longer, healthier life.
