Greek singer Anna Vissi attended Céline Dion’s concert in Paris on Wednesday, October 14, sharing a video of the performance on Instagram and expressing her admiration for the Canadian superstar.
Vissi has been in the French capital for several days with her friend and collaborator, Dimitra Koutsa. The visit comes a few weeks after Vissi’s major concert at Athens’ Olympic Stadium (OAKA).
In the video she posted on her personal Instagram account, Vissi focused on Dion’s reaction to the audience’s enthusiastic reception, describing it as one of the highlights of the concert.
“Highlight of the concert. This little ‘awkwardness’ in the face of the great love she received,” Vissi wrote, referring to what she saw as an emotional moment for Dion.

Céline Dion’s return to the stage
Dion has been dealing with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. She was diagnosed in 2022 after years of experiencing symptoms without knowing their cause.
The singer has said that her symptoms began long before her diagnosis. Before doctors identified the condition, she attributed canceled performances to more common ailments, including sinus infections. She later described experiencing severe pain that sometimes left her barely able to walk.
Her health struggles were documented in the 2024 film I Am: Céline Dion, which showed her undergoing treatment and experiencing painful spasms that at times left her unable to move or speak.
After years away from regular performances, Dion made a high-profile return at the Paris Olympics in July 2024, singing Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” from the Eiffel Tower.
Since her diagnosis, Dion has undergone various treatments, including medication, physical therapy, voice therapy and immunotherapy.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she also described a demanding fitness routine that includes 90-minute Pilates sessions three times a week and ballet, which she practices in an effort to maintain her strength and health.
