More than 50 passports bearing foreign visas were stolen from a private courier company’s delivery bag in Rawalpindi.
The passports had reportedly been dispatched from Karachi to a travel agent and carried visas for Saudi Arabia and other countries. The bag also contained important documents, mobile phones, parcels, and other valuables belonging to several citizens.
Affected individuals had reportedly spent millions of rupees collectively on obtaining visas and securing employment abroad. The missing passports have left them facing uncertainty over their departures and job opportunities.
Police registered a case at Banni Police Station on the complaint of a courier company representative and launched an investigation.
A copy of the first information report, photographs purportedly showing a suspect, and copies of the stolen passports have reportedly surfaced.

Meanwhile, affected citizens have complained that they have not received adequate assistance from the courier company or the Federal Investigation Agency regarding the missing passports. The supplied account did not include a response from either organization.
