Eligible policyholders can claim outpatient treatment expenses until 15 November 2026.
Allianz Insurance Singapore has introduced a one-time outpatient medical reimbursement of up to $39.06 (S$50) for policyholders requiring treatment for haze-related health conditions.
The persistent air pollution stems from regional land and forest fires in Indonesia, where seasonal agricultural burning on peatlands and dry conditions have sent thick smoke drift across neighbouring Southeast Asian nations.
The transboundary haze has caused air quality levels in Singapore to fluctuate in recent weeks, spiking respiratory illnesses and prompting heightened environmental warnings across the city-state.
The benefit is available to individuals aged 18 and above who hold either an Allianz Accident Protect Plus or Allianz Hospital Income Protect policy.
It covers medical consultations and treatments received between 16 October 2026 and 15 November 2026 for respiratory issues, eye irritation, or skin conditions caused by haze exposure, as diagnosed by a registered medical practitioner.
Policyholders on family plans receive an individual allocation of up to $39.06 (S$50) for each eligible family member.
The reimbursement also applies to new policyholders, provided treatment occurs at least one day after the policy commencement date.
CEO of Allianz Insurance Singapore, Ong Bi Ying, stated that the benefit aims to support customers dealing with ongoing air quality concerns across the country.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW
Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.
Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.
We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.
If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
