The clip, shared by Mutembei TV on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, captured Sakaja addressing Mosiria in front of what appeared to be county officials, describing him as a standout performer within the entire Nairobi County government.
Sakaja's analogy of parable of the talents
In the footage, Sakaja declared that Mosiria had gone further than any other chief officer in any sector, a claim he said he could make "without fear."
He pointed to the parable of the talents to illustrate the kind of initiative he expected from his officers, contrasting those who multiply their responsibilities with those who play it safe out of fear.
"I expect you to take responsibility and deliver. I should not have to keep moving in and out to supervise you," Sakaja said.
First-ever intensive care unit in Nairobi County
He then credited Mosiria specifically with spearheading the establishment of the first-ever intensive care unit in Nairobi County, noting that the project was conceived and executed without direction from the governor's office.
According to Sakaja, Mosiria worked alongside the Chief Officer for Medical Services and a colleague identified as Nyakaba to identify available equipment and arrange the necessary infrastructure upgrades, including flooring.
The contrast between Sakaja's warm words and his subsequent decision to sack Mosiria was what has drawn widespread attention online.
Is Saaja pursuing plan to imprison Mosiria?
The timing has raised questions, given that Mosiria's removal came shortly after he declared interest in the Nairobi gubernatorial race.
Mosiria has since broken his silence, sharing documents and speaking publicly about what he says led to his dismissal.
He has also alleged that Sakaja is pursuing a plan to have him imprisoned, a claim that has further fuelled debate about the circumstances surrounding his exit from the county government.

Why Babu Owino cannot defeat Sakaja in Nairobi Gubernatorial race
In another story, TUKO also highlighted details about Anne Waiguru’s doubts that Babu Owino can defeat Johnson Sakaja in Nairobi’s 2027 gubernatorial race, including her concerns about the city’s voter demographics and Owino’s political rift with Edwin Sifuna.
Waiguru said visible support in parts of Nairobi may not translate into victory across the city’s diverse electorate.
