Fire breaks out in office of consultancy firm in Keralam’s Kochi

A fire broke out in the office of an educational consultancy firm at Kacheripady in the city around 3.30 p.m. on Thursday (October 15, 2026).

While laptops, computers, furniture, air conditioners, and the interiors were gutted, none was injured in the incident. The office functioned out of the first floor of Yasoram Victoria Towers. Six employees managed to flee as soon as the fire broke out.

The air conditioner in the office is suspected to have triggered the fire, said Fire and Rescue Services officials.

The fire was doused within 20 minutes by two units of the Fire and Rescue Services from Gandhi Nagar and Club Road fire stations that rushed to the spot. Timely intervention helped check the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings, said officials.
