A season ticket price increase is probably not what Miami Dolphins fans want to hear as the team is winless early in the 2026 season.
But season ticket renewal information went out to members Tuesday, and that’s what they found, albeit a minimal increase.
According to a team spokesperson, the majority of rates rose by 3%. Some other premium areas and highly requested shaded sections along the home sideline may have seen greater upticks for 2027 season tickets.
The reason for the changes is the Dolphins have an extra regular season home game on the schedule next season. Since the NFL went to a 17-game regular season in 2021, teams alternate seasons with nine or eight designated home games in the regular season. The total with the preseason always remains at 10, given there will either be one or two home preseason games.
Now, there’s often the possibility of a team losing that extra home game to the NFL’s ever-evolving international slate.
The team, however, does not anticipate that occurring at this time. In the 2025 season, the Dolphins lost a home game that was moved to Madrid. When the Dolphins reached out to fans for those renewals, in October 2024, they were privy to that possibility and communicated how many home games would be played at Hard Rock Stadium.
The 2027 season ticket increase comes after prices either stayed stagnant or, in some cases, actually decreased for the current season, when renewal information was disseminated to fans around the same time in 2025.
The 2026 Dolphins, at 0-5, return from their bye week to visit the New York Jets on Sunday.
